Sisterhood at Temple Beth Sholom has taken on a whole new face. We have taken over and are running HOLY GROUNDS, which now not only includes the coffee shop but the new and improved fabulous Gift Shop, being run by our own Sandy Cohen. holy-grounds-visit resize

In addition, we feel that there are many exciting women who are part of our congregation who have interesting hobbies and interests that could be shared with other Sisterhood members. This will not be a long term commitment. We are planning on having six-eight events per year and we hope you will attend the events that interest you.

There will be a cooking class in our beautiful new kitchen that Natalie Davis will coordinate. Shelley Niceley Groff, Rabbi Pomerantz and Grace Sherman have put together a program involving the Women of the Wall. Thanks to Holly Wallack, our Rosh Chodesh program has been re-born with our female clergy, and much more.

We are hoping to see new faces. It has been a long time since I was a "new face" with Sisterhood, but I remember being in the kitchen with Jocelyn Berman making the best tuna salad and latkes for lunch, attending art auctions with the girls and listening to some of our members telling about their latest archeological dig in Israel. I miss that at Temple.

I hope you will join me in our new Sisterhood.

Warmest regards,

Sharlane K. Packar
President
