PACT: People Acting for Community Together

PACTPACT is a diverse coalition of 37 congregations and two Universities throughout Miami Dade County. It is the largest grassroots organization in South Florida, representing more than 50,000 people. Since 1988, PACT has used the power of its large, organized numbers of people to solve pressing community problems. Temple Beth Sholom is proud to be the first of 2 synagogues involved in PACT.

RAC: Religious Action Center

racThe RAC has been the hub of Jewish social justice and legislative activity in Washington, D.C. for the Reform Movement for the past 50 years. The RAC educates and mobilizes the Reform Jewish community on legislative and social concerns, advocating on more than 70 issues, including economic justice, civil rights, religious liberty, Israel and more. The RAC's advocacy work is non-partisan and pursues policies that reflect the Jewish values of social justice.
